<Poem>
<End Poem>
<Translation>
Ah, dear sirs, how do we feel,
saying goodbye like this?
We rein in our horses and drink our ale,
and I ask about your postings –
The Wu gorge, where the apes will howl
till your face is lined with tears;
Hengyang, where homing geese
will carry missives with them.
Your autumn sails will take you far
on the green maple river;
The ancient trees will be thinly spread
by the walls of Baidi city.
Today the dynasty in its wisdom
often bestows its grace,
$(And)$ though we will be apart for a while
you should not be distressed.
